MGA Oculi exhibition and Street Photography field trip

Oculi’s - Terra Australis Incognita exhibition starts at the Monash Gallery of Art on the 27th of January. Hijacked 3 Book and Exhibition

I’m proud to announce that I’ve been chosen for the Hijacked 3 book and exhibition that will be published by Big City Press in 2012. Hijacked 3 includes photographers from Australia and UK and it’s great to be included alongside friends Christopher Day, Leonie Hampton, Katrin Koenning, Warwick Baker and Michelle Tran. Flaere Gallery Representation – London / Paris

I’m proud to announce that Flaere Gallery in London will now be representing me for print sales and exhibitions in London and Paris. Flaere Gallery is a photography gallery in London exhibiting limited edition contemporary fine art photography. The gallery is one of a small but growing number of galleries in London devoted exclusively to fine art photography. The gallery exhibits through curated exhibitions of contemporary photography in pop-up spaces and regularly takes part in art fairs in London and abroad. Recent Editorial work

The last couple of months have been fairly hectic with a range of editorial work for local and international magazines. In August, I was commissioned to shoot portraits of the Victorian State Premier Ted Baillieu and Indigenous activist and lawyer Noel Pearson for The Australian Financial Review Magazine – Power Issue.

I was also commissioned to shoot a portrait of the American singer and writer Simone Felice for the Weekend Guardian Magazine.

Last but not least was a portrait of young Melbourne fashion designer Pia Interlandi who designs burial shrouds for the Financial Times in the UK

From Distant Streets exhibition – Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Three prints from ‘Don’t Just Tell Them, Show Them‘ are in the Richard Bram curated exhibiton ‘From Distant Streets’ at Galerie Hertz in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The exhibition brings together the work of 29 street photographers from around the world. Included in the show are some of my fellow in-public photographers David Gibson, Nils Jorgensen, Blake Andrews, Nick Turpin, Melanie Einzig, Andy Morley-Hall, Adrian Fisk, Paul Russell, Amani Willet, George Kelly, Richard Bram, David Solomns and Otto Snoek. The show runs from the 2nd October – 4th November.

OAO (One And Only) on show at CCP / City of Yarra Billboards

Following on from my OAO (One And Only) exhibition at Anna Pappas Gallery this year, two of the works are being blown up to billboard size and being exhibited at the CCP curated public exhibition space on the corner of Smith St and Otter St in Collingwood. ‘In-Sight’ screening at the Tate Modern, London

Earlier this year I was followed and interviewed by a film crew for the Nick Turpin produced documentary, ‘In-Sight’.  The documentary will be screened at the Tate Modern in London on the 11th of July. Filmed in the UK, US, Netherlands and Australia, the film reveals the motivations and techniques of nine members from the international street photographers collective In-Public. ‘In-Sight’ is being screened as a part of the London Street Photography Festival which takes place during the month of July. Street Photography Now – Exhibition in Stuttgart

‘Skip Divers’ is part of the Street Photography Now book exhibition which is currently on show at the Uno Art Space – Ute Noll in Stuttgart. The exhibition had previously been in Paris and Cologne. The show runs from the 2nd April to June 19th. More details HERE

OAO (One And Only) Exhibition – Anna Pappas Gallery, Melbourne

My OAO (One And Only) series is being exhibited at Anna Pappas Gallery from the 11th March. The series documents the explosion of graffiti in the Central Australian Desert as a vehicle of expression for indigenous youths. The project was started back in 2007 and finished in 2010. The exhibition runs until the 9th of April. Anna Pappas Gallery, 2 – 4 Carlton St, Prahran, Victoria. Tues to Fri 10 am – 6 pm, Sat 12 – 6 pm. More details HERE
